Timothy Cooke
Biography
Timothy is an international arbitration partner in Stephenson Harwood’s Singapore office. He advises on and acts as counsel in arbitrations under the rules of the major arbitral institutions with a particular focus on energy, telecoms, joint venture, shareholder and other investment disputes in Southeast Asia. Timothy represents clients in international arbitrations under the major institutional rules of arbitration such as the SIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL, HKIAC, KLRCA and LCIA. His practice focuses on disputes arising out of foreign and intra-regional investments in Asia, particularly in matters concerning energy (oil & gas, power and renewables), infrastructure and projects, telecoms, construction and engineering, joint ventures, shareholders and other commercial disputes. Timothy appears before arbitral tribunals and emergency arbitrators, in expedited arbitration proceedings, international mediations and in ‘Arb-Med-Arb’ proceedings such as those under the SIAC-SIMC Protocol.
