Biography
Partner at ‘Miranda & Associados’, an international Portuguese law firm with a practice in more than a dozen Lusophone and Francophone Africa countries. Co-head of the ‘Energy and Natural Resources’ practice, member of the 'Public and Regulatory' practice. Primary focus on upstream oil and gas industry (international, constitutional, regulatory, contractual, tax, M&A, project, environmental, ESG matters), but advising also on energy/power (including hydrogen) and renewables, mining and natural resources, project structuring and financing, foreign direct investment, dispute resolution and government matters. Law of the sea specialist, member of the list of arbitrators of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. Guest Professor at the Catholic University (Lisbon, Portugal). Lectured public international law, constitutional law, petroleum and energy law.
