Biography

Preben has almost 15 years’ experience from assisting oil industry players, both as external advisor and as in-house lawyer. Prebens work cover all phases of a typical petroleum discovery, from Norwegian Continental Shelf introduction for new companies, through exploration, development, production and cessation. Preben has been involved as advisor to potential purchasers in most of the major transactions on the Norwegian Continental Shelf over the last ten years. Internationally Preben has advised on new ventures and acquisitions in jurisdictions including European, African and Middle eastern countries. Prebens previous work experience includes partner position in one of Norways biggest law firms and in house positions (secondment) in oil companies with both Norwegian Continental Shelf and international focus. Preben is ranked as an up and coming lawyer in international – as well as in the Norwegian Finansavisen peer ranking.
