Ana Oliveira Rocha
Biography
Ana Oliveira Rocha is a corporate and regulatory lawyer specialising in the energy and natural resources sector where her experience includes international mergers and acquisitions and project development. With over 16 years’ experience in legal practice and 13 in the energy and natural resources industry, Ana currently co-heads PLMJ Energy, which practice extends throughout the PLMJ International Legal Network member law firms. Her name has been associated with important projects involving both mergers and acquisitions and regulatory matters. Ana’s work covers M&A and all stages of project development, with negotiation of international / cross-border contracts, and in operations-related contracts in the oil and gas, mining and power and renewables sectors in Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries (Angola, Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau), from upstream to downstream activities. Ana has worked in secondment, for circa 3 months, at an International Oil Company in Luanda to assist in the definition and negotiations of the contractual matrix of a specific Oil & Gas project. Ana is licensed to practice law in Portugal, acting as foreign legal consultant in other jurisdictions. Ana is recommended by the Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers directories.
