Ignacio J Randle
Biography
Ignacio J. Randle obtained his law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1986 and graduated as an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1990. Previously, in 1989, he was awarded the Perez Companc Foundation Scholarship for Law and Economics. Mr. Randle was a partner with important Argentine law firms. He also practiced as foreign attorney with BakerBotts’ Houston and Washington, DC offices and with McDermott, Will & Emery in Chicago. Mr. Randle’s practice focuses primarily on international business transactions, with emphasis in natural resources, energy, infrastructure and environmental projects. He represents domestic and foreign companies doing business in Latin America, as well as Argentine companies pursuing business opportunities abroad. Mr. Randle is a frequent speaker and organizer at domestic and international conferences on foreign investments, natural resources and sustainable development. He has published extensively in different countries and lectured at the Law School and the Business School in Buenos Aires, as well as in other fora in Argentina and abroad. He served as professor at the Universidad Católica Argentina, the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and the Universidad del CEMA. Mr. Randle is former President of the University of Chicago Alumni Club of Argentina and member of the advisory committee to the President of The University of Chicago. He is currently member to the Executive Committee. Mr. Randle is current Council Member of the Section on Energy, Environment, Resources and Infrastructure, former Chair of the Mining Law Committee, former Chair of the Environmental Law Committee and former Officer of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the International Bar Association. Mr. Randle is current Chair of the Special Institute, former Co-chair of the International Section and former Trustee of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. Mr. Randle is former Chair of the International Energy and Resources Committee, former Chair of the International Environmental Law Committee, and former Council Member of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association. He is member of the Bar of the City of Buenos Aires, the American Bar Association, and the International Bar Association. Languages: Spanish, English and French.
