Biography
SARAH L. CAVE HUGHES HUBBARD & REED LLP Sarah L. Cave is a partner at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, where she practices securities litigation, accountants’ liability litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Cave has worked on prominent post-financial crisis cases, including Lehman Brothers, MF Global, and Bernard L. Madoff Securities. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joan A. Lenard, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida and as a staff law clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She was recognized by the New York Law Journal in 2012 as a “Lawyer Who Leads By Example”, and has been honored nine times with the Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Publico Award. In 2015, she received Legal Aid’s Public Interest Law Leadership Award. Ms. Cave is currently the Chair of the Executive Committee of the New York City Bar, and has also served as Chair of the City Bar’s Federal Legislation and Encourage Judicial Service Committees. She is serving a term as the Annual Conference Officer of the Insolvency Section of the International Bar Association. She has also chaired the ABA Business Law Section’s Business Litigation Subcommittee and the Advisory Board of Coalition for the Homeless’ First Step Program. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Legal Aid Society, is a member of the American Law Institute, serves on the New York State Bar Association President’s Committee on Access to Justice, and is Secretary of the Board of The Friends of Governor’s Island.
