Anne Hoffmann
Biography
Anne is a senior associate in the international arbitration group at Herbert Smith Freehills in Sydney. She has represented corporations and states in a variety of commercial and treaty arbitrations, including under the rules of the LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL, and governed by a variety of governing laws (both common and civil law). She has acted for clients in numerous sectors and jurisdictions, including Information Technology, Banking and Energy & Resources in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Anne has acted as Tribunal Secretary to arbitral tribunals appointed under LCIA, ICC, DIAC and CAS rules. Anne has also worked in Australia and England on major litigation matters. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Anne has worked in the international arbitration group of a leading law firm in London and Paris. Anne is a German national and has obtained law degrees in Germany, USA, England and Australia. She speaks English, German and some French and is admitted to practise in England & Wales, New York and New South Wales.
