Jonathan J Koehler
Biography
Jonathan “Jay” Koehler is the Beatrice Kuhn Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. He has a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in behavioral sciences from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Pomona College. Prior to joining Northwestern University in 2010, he was a University Distinguished Teaching Professor at The University of Texas at Austin (McCombs School of Business), and a professor in the business and law schools at Arizona State University. He conducts research related to judgment and decision making, forensic science, quantitative reasoning in court, and behavioral finance. He has published papers in such outlets as Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Jurimetrics, Law and Human Behavior, Management Science, Psychological Science, Science, and law reviews. He is an editor of Law, Probability & Risk, and a consulting editor of Judgment and Decision Making. Most recently, he taught Evidence, Forensic Science, Quantitative Reasoning in the Law, and Judgment and Decision making.
