Biography

Roger Stewart Q.C. practices from 4 New Square, London and specialises in high profile commercial disputes both in the UK and offshore. He acts both as Counsel and Arbitrator. He is consistently praised by clients and directories for the quality of his advice and his written and oral advocacy. He acted for the British Government in its dispute with Raytheon and successfully persuaded the English Court to set aside an arbitration award which had been given after 10 weeks of hearing and remit it to a new Tribunal for re-hearing – the only occasion upon which the UK courts have given such relief since the 1996 English Arbitration Act. He recently acted for Mr Holyoake in his well publicised dispute with the Candy brothers.
