Phil has a broad practice advising financial market participants on law and regulation affecting their business and their products. He is counsel to hedge, credit, private equity and real estate fund managers, banks and investment banks, brokers and corporate financiers, exchange-traded product providers and payment institutions. He advises pension schemes on their investments, as well as being involved often in M&A, finance and restructuring in the financial services sector. Phil is Chair of the Tax, Legal and Regulatory Committee of Invest Europe (the EU private equity trade association), a member of the Regulatory Committee of the British Property Federation, a member of the Alternative Credit Council Technical Group, and a member of the Buy-Side Scoping Forum of the Financial Markets Law Committee.
