Biography

Michael Steen Jensen is a partner in Gorrissen Federspiel, based in Copenhagen, Denmark and head of the firm’s Banking and Finance Group. Michael joined the firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1991. He was seconded to Linklaters & Paines, London 1990-1991. Michael advises domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions on all as-pects of financial law, securities, debt capital markets, structured products, secu-ritisations, project financing and regulatory matters including netting, collateral and clearing. Michael has been very active in the rescue and public take-over work of failing Danish banks and has represented the Danish Central Bank and the Danish Fi-nancial Stability Company, which is the Danish state owned winding-up compa-ny for financial institutions, in several major transactions involving the take-over and winding-up of Danish banks.
