Manuel Santos Vitor
Biography
Manuel Santos Vítor graduated from the law school of the Universidade de Lisboa (1988) and has an LLM in EU law from the College of Europe in Bruges (1989). Manuel joined PLMJ as a trainee in 1989 and became a partner in 1998. With more than 25 years’ experience, Manuel was PLMJ’s co-managing partner and then managing partner between 2008-2015 and currently heads one of PLMJ’s M&A practices and PLMJ Energy, the energy and natural resources team of the various jurisdictions where PLMJ is present. Manuel also dedicates a considerable amount of his time to insurance and aviation law. His name has been associated with important projects in these areas, both in Portugal and internationally. An AIPN and IBA member, Manuel Santos Vitor has been closely involved in the internationalization of PLMJ. He is recommended by the Chambers Europe, Chambers Global, Legal 500, Global Law Experts and Best Lawyers directories.
