Biography
Cathy is closely involved in developing the GreenCo business model, which aims to mobilise private sector investment in renewable energy generation in sub-Saharan Africa at lower cost and with less reliance on host government support by establishing an independently-managed but government co-owned creditworthy intermediary offtaker. She has 14+ years’ professional experience in infrastructure and renewable energy, both as principal and adviser. She worked in Allen & Overy LLP’s projects team for 4 years before becoming an Investment Director at HSBC Infrastructure Fund. After 6 years negotiating infrastructure and renewable energy equity investments, she established her own consultancy and also consulted for the World Bank.
