Biography

Arif H. Ali, co-Chair of Dechert’s global International Arbitration Practice. He is considered by peers and clients alike as one of the world’s most experienced international arbitration trial counsel. He has served as lead attorney in international commercial and investor-state arbitrations under the procedural rules of all of the major arbitral institutions, including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, and the ICDR, and in a broad range of industry sectors. He is particularly acclaimed for his advocacy and strategic advice in disputes under bilateral and multi-lateral investment treaties, investment agreements, and foreign investment laws.
