Donald M McRae
Biography
Donald McRae is Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Law, at the University of Ottawa. He has been counsel in several international fisheries and boundary arbitrations and in cases before the International Court of Justice. He has been a member of several WTO panels, as well as member and chair of investment dispute tribunals under ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. He has been an ad hoc judge on the International Court of Justice. Professor McRae is the former Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Yearbook of International Law, and serves on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of International Law. He was a member of the United Nations International Law Commission from 2007-2016. Professor McRae is an associate member of the Institut de droit international, a member of the Royal Society of Canada, a Companion of the Order of Canada and an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
