Biography

Silvio has a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics at La Sapienza University, Rome, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, US. His career started as researcher at Augusta Westland Helicopters, then at Centro Ricerche Fiat. In ‘94 was at ArvinMeritor in Detroit, to become General Manager of business units and CEO of global divisions. In 2007 joined Pininfarina as COO, in 2008 was coopted as Director in the Board, in 2009 elected CEO of the Group, leading the relaunch through a business turnaround, positioning Pininfarina as global leader of Italian design. He’s member of many entrepreneurial associations, their statutory boards, and Chairman of Indice dei Libri del Mese, magazine of book critique
