Biography

Ayzo is based in Luxembourg and provides international tax solutions on a variety of cross border transactions including private equity, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, financing, fund structuring and joint ventures. Ayzo became a partner with AKD in 2016. He is practising tax law since 1999. Within AKD, he is a member of the Tax Practice group and based in Luxembourg. Before joining AKD, he was a partner in the Luxembourg office of another leading BeNeLux law firm. Ayzo advises predominantly UK and US private equity and venture capital firms as well as a wide range of US multinational groups on predominantly Luxembourg corporate taxation, as they affect such cross border acquisitions, project financing, structured finance, securitisations, private equity and venture capital funds, and corporate reorganisations. Ayzo is known and praised for its hands-on, pro-active and solution focused approach and is able to find simple solutions for complex matters. Ayzo graduated from Leiden University (the Netherlands) in 1999. He has been practising international tax law as from 1999 and specialised in Luxembourg tax since 2002. Ayzo is teaching at the University of Luxembourg and regularly speaks on seminars and in panels and is ranked in Chambers and Legal 500. Ayzo is a member of: the tax committee of the Luxembourg AMCHAM, the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the American Bar Association (ABA), International Bar Association (IBA), Nederlandse Orde van Belastingsadviseurs (Dutch Association of Tax Advisers, NOB).
