Biography

Katherine DeMamiel is an associate and has been a member of Sullivan & Cromwell’s Estates and Personal Group since 2010 and has worked from the London office since September 2013.  She has participated in the representation of international families and fiduciaries with respect to a broad range of tax and planning issues, including extensive advice with respect to trust and family business planning.  Ms. DeMamiel is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  Ms. DeMamiel is a co-author of the chapter on United States law in The Private Wealth and Client Review, Third Edition and the article entitled “Planning for the Non-Citizen Spouse” published in the June 2016 edition of the Journal of Taxation, and was named as a ‘One to Watch’ in the Private Client Global Elite 2018 by Legal Week.
