Biography

Matthias advises on all tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations as well as financing transactions. He also has extensive experience in advising on the restructuring of distressed companies. Another focus of his practice is tax compliance, tax disputes and litigation. He acts for a broad range of corporate clients across business sectors and private equity houses. Recent M&A transactions that Matthias has advised on include: EPH's purchase of Vattenfall's lignite business (2016), Österreichische Post's sale of the logistics service provider trans-o-flex (2016), Aptar Group's acquisition of the Mega Airless Group (2016), Onex' sale of KraussMaffei Group (2016) and MAGNA's acquisition of the power train manufacturer GETRAG (2015).
