Pedro Nicholson

Biography

Pedro Nicholson is the Head of the Real Estate and Hospitality Department of Estudio Beccar Varela. He has vast experience in real estate, hospitality, tourism, mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. He has advised local and foreign clients in all sorts of local and international deals, including The Related Group, Fortune International Group, Prudential Real Estate Investors, JE Robert Companies, Madero Harbour, The Trump Organization, Groupe Accor, Groupe Casino, Carrefour, Groupe Saint-Gobain, GIC Sovereign Wealth Fund, Despegar.com, Louis Vuitton, Jamestown Property Fund, C.B. Richard Ellis, Jumeirah International, The Rohatyn Group, K Group Holdings, Gafisa, Christies, Inc., Enjoy, Mc Kinsey, Ermenegildo Zegna, Round Hill Capital, Foster + Partners, Costa Activa, Bausch & Lomb, Interurban, Citibank, N.A., and G&D Developers. Pedro has lectured in conferences in Argentina and abroad, has been awarded “Real Estate Lawyer of the Year 2017” by Best Lawyers, and has also been recognized by Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250 and LACCA Approved and by the Practical Law Company publication, since 2008 up to date. He is Co-Chair of the Real Estate Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Buenos Aires, member of the Executive Committee at the Housing Entrepreneurs Association (Asociación de Empresarios de la Vivienda), Officer of the Real Estate Committee at the International Bar Association, Officer of the Latin American Law Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and former President for the Alumni Association of the Real Estate Business Center of the Universidad de San Andrés. Pedro obtained a post-graduate degree in Real Estate Transactions from the Universidad de San Andrés (2006), a post-graduate degree in Hotel Investments from the Universidad de San Andrés (2009), an LL.M from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1993) and worked as a foreign associate at Hogan & Hartson, Washington, DC (1995).
