Biography

Partner – Real Estate Ferrere Abogados, Montevideo, Uruguay Carlos Falco co-leads services team FERRERE real estate. His practice focuses primarily on advice for the development of real estate, also participating in Agribusiness and assisting in litigation in real estate. His current activity is focused on advising on legal and financing structure of the largest enterprise of residential condominiums Uruguay. As well as in advising on the acquisition of the first REIT (real estate investment trust) in Uruguay. It also advises foreign investors in important developments in residence buildings at Punta del Este. Falco also participates in corporate finance operations in large volume. In this field he has been involved in an operation to guarantee international banks, on agricultural assets 118,000 hectares in Uruguay, in the framework of an international loan as well as in financing operations by international investment funds, one of the most important companies agricultural, with over 85,000 hectares of agricultural exploitation. He has experience in renewable energy, having participated in two wind farm projects, as well as advising companies in the mining area. He teaches Structuring Legal Specialization Diploma in Business Estate in the ORT University. He has been recognized by Chambers & Partners 2012 publication as Associate to Watch. He studied law at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay) and qualified as a clerk in 2004 and as a lawyer in 2008. He is member of the Association of Notaries of Uruguay.
