Amber Riedl

Biography

Born and raised in Canada, Amber Riedl came to Berlin in 2004 after completing her Masters degree in political science at the University of British Columbia. After working in the communications department of Transparency International, she decided to found her first startup 1001hochzeiten.de in 2008. In the spring of 2013, it was time for the second startup, Makerist, this time together with Axel Heinz. Since joining the HVB founder mentoring program in 2015, she has been supporting the HVB Women's Council in Berlin, and speaking often about how to reach a great work-life balance as a working mom in the startup scene. Amber is the mother of two adventurous boys.
