Biography

Jan is currently serving as the VP of Tax for Baker Hughes GE which is a recently completed Joint Venture between GE, as the majority owner, and the former Baker Hughes International. She is based in the London Headquarters of the JV. Jan has been with GE’s Tax Department since 1997. Throughout the years she has been the Head of Tax of several GE divisions, most recently at GE Oil & Gas, and prior to that GE Healthcare and GE Capital International. Jan originally joined GE in Connecticut specializing international tax and M&A until she moved to her first Head of Tax role in London in 2009. Jan started her career at Dewey Ballantine in New York as a Tax Associate. She holds a BA in Business from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst and a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center.
