Biography

“Jason is one of the leading tax practitioners in the UK. He specialises in representing corporates and individuals who are the subject of a tax audit – and resolves complex disputes with HM Revenue & Customs in all aspects of both direct tax and VAT, including challenges brought by HMRC’s top-level anti-avoidance teams. He also represents clients under criminal investigation, including representation at 'dawn raids' and interviews under caution. Jason is a leading expert on the Criminal Finances Act, international information exchange agreements, including the OECD's Common Reporting Standard, and advises businesses across the world on the application of automatic exchange of information, with a particular focus on trusts, investment companies and funds.
