Lorna Bowen
Biography
Lorna is head of the firm’s Investment Funds group in New York. She focuses on advising international asset managers on the establishment, operation and regulation of private fund products across the alternative fund spectrum including private equity, infrastructure, private credit, distressed debt and other products in the illiquid closed-end fund space, hedge funds and funds of funds. Lorna’s practice also has an emphasis on the development of tailored investment platforms and structured solutions for strategic institutional investors. Lorna is frequently involved in corporate transactions in the sector and also advises on management company formations, management team spin-outs, acquisitions of asset managers, seeding/start-up financing deals, joint ventures, private fund interest portfolio sales and co-investments. Recent experience includes representation of KKR Credit Advisors in connection with the ongoing fundraising in support of its North American and European direct lending platform and its multi-credit strategy and liquid credit strategy managed account products (raising over US$2bn over the last 12 months), representing KKR in connection with the establishment of its third global infrastructure fund raising aggregate commitments of US$7.4bn, representing a major private fund manager on the syndication of over US$2bn of private equity co-investment opportunities. Lorna initially qualified as a solicitor in Ireland. She subsequently practiced in London and New York and is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and admitted to the New York bar.
