Biography

Named one of the “Top 30 under 40” in private equity by Private Funds Management, a “Rising Star” by Law 360 and a “Superstar Lawyer of Tomorrow” by Private Equity International, Peter focuses his practice on private investment funds, investment management M&A and other aspects of private investing in alternative asset classes. Peter regularly represents the world’s leading private equity firms. His clients have included Blackstone, BC Partners, Centerbridge, Lexington Partners, Morgan Stanley, Silver Lake, Stonepeak and Alinda Capital. Peter regularly advises private equity clients on a diverse mix of investment management projects, including high-profile private equity fundraisings, “funds-of-one” and separately managed accounts for large investors, strategic acquisitions and GP “minority stakes” transactions involving private equity firms, internal economic and house/team arrangements, founder succession planning and other strategic initiatives and special projects. Peter received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and received his B.A. in Economics and his M.G.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
