Biography

Jens Wenzel is a partner in the Berlin office of Hengeler Mueller. He received his legal education from the universities of Cologne, Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1) and Heidelberg. In 2010/2011 he worked as a foreign legal consultant in the Toronto office of Bennett Jones LLP. Jens advises corporate clients and financial investors on both the corporate and financing aspects of joint ventures, M&A transactions and venture capital investments across a wide range of industry sectors. His recent work includes transactions relating to, e.g., renewable energy, media, voice-over-IP, health food, health care & hospitals, social infrastructure, logistics, e-commerce and automotive businesses. His venture capital work focuses on advice to foreign clients, in particular the corporate venture capital arms of strategic investors. Jens is a regular speaker on M&A topics and co-author of various publications on German corporate law.
