Biography

Mark is a partner at the Irish law firm of McCann FitzGerald and is Head of the Investment Management Group. Mark advises a wide variety of clients who are engaged in the promotion and management of all types of investment funds, with a particular focus on private funds, including hedge funds, private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure funds. He also advises on regulatory issues, particularly around substance and governance issues under AIFMD, as well as delegation models. Mark has also advised a number of managers on establishing management companies or MiFID firms in Ireland as part of their Brexit strategies. Mark works with many of the largest fund managers in the international and domestic funds market, as well as with large institutional and seed investors, such as pension schemes and government or state bodies. Mark is a frequent speaker at industry events.
