Biography

Simon is an alternative investment funds lawyer and a partner in our Investment Funds group with a particular specialism in the formation and operation of hedge funds and hedge fund managers. Simon has been a funds lawyer since qualification in 1997 and has advised some of the world’s largest fund managers on all aspects of their businesses since that time. He also advises institutional investors, wealth managers and family offices on their alternative investment programmes including hedge funds, private equity, credit and 'passion' funds. He has advised on matters in numerous jurisdictions over the years with a primary focus on the Cayman Islands, the United States, Ireland and Luxembourg. He also has extensive investment experience in Emerging Europe, Africa and Central Asia. He became a partner of a leading US law firm in 2005 and joined Osborne Clarke in 2018. He is listed as a leading individual for alternative funds in various legal rankings.
