Akiko Sueoka

Biography

Akiko Sueoka specializes in advising on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and LBO finance transactions, for both domestic and international clients. Akiko was admitted to the bar in Japan in 2000, and was subsequently admitted to the New York bar in 2004 after obtaining an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School. She worked with Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett, New York (2003-04), and with Pavia e Ansaldo, Rome (2004-05). Prior to becoming a lawyer she worked at the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare (1994-98), and as a lawyer she was seconded by MHM to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (2005-06). She was selected as one of the lawyers listed in “Asialaw Profiles 2012: The Guide to Asia-Pacific’s Leading Firms”.
