Andrea Gomes da Silva

Biography

Andrea is the CMA's Senior Legal Director for Mergers, Markets and Regulatory Appeals. She is accountable to the Board for the legal aspects of the CMA's work in these areas and regularly advises case teams, Groups, and other decision makers on legal risk. Prior to joining the CMA in 2015, Andrea was in the antitrust, competition and trade team at Freshfields for 14 years, 8 of those as a partner in the firm's London office. As a partner, she advised UK and international clients from a variety of sectors on all aspects of UK and EU competition law.
