Kevin Yingling

Biography

Kevin is Senior Competition Counsel at Google. He joined Google’s Washington DC office in 2009 and works on a broad range of antitrust issues, including merger reviews, government conduct investigations, antitrust compliance, and business counseling. Kevin has helped secure regulatory clearance for several of Google’s acquisitions, including Waze, ITA, and Admob. In addition, he worked on responding to the FTC’s antitrust investigation of Google’s search and advertising practices. Prior to Google, Kevin worked as an attorney for O’Melveny & Myers. There, Kevin advised clients on a number of different matters before the federal agencies and courts, with a particular focus on merger counseling. Before O’Melveny, Kevin served as a trial attorney in the Honors Program with the DOJ’s Antitrust Division. At the Division, Kevin worked in the Networks & Technology Section on merger and conduct matters in the information technology, software, and financial services industries. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and the University of Virginia School of Law. After law school, he clerked for federal district Chief Judge J. Frederick Motz in Baltimore.
