Kelly M Baugh

Biography

Kelly Makins Baugh, Esq., is Senior Counsel, Corporate and Compliance at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC. In this role she is responsible for the system-wide coordination, negotiation and execution of various corporate agreements and arrangements including, but not limited to, professional services agreements, service agreements, telemedicine services agreements, consulting agreements, joint venture related agreements, leases, master pediatric services agreements and various other corporate contracts. Ms. Baugh is leading the Legal Department’s work in creating a multi-disciplinary telemedicine task force to develop system-wide processes for conducting due diligence on telemedicine partners, analysis of relevant domestic and international laws, credentialing requirements, information technology security and capabilities, malpractice insurance, documentation and standardized contractual language. Prior to joining Children’s National, Ms. Baugh was in private practice in the Washington, DC office of a large international law firm where her practice focused on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Baugh serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA National Capital Area where she is a member of the Governance Committee (former Chair) and Advocacy Committee and is a former member of the Executive Committee, Real Estate Committee and Nominating Subcommittee. Recently, Ms. Baugh served as Co-Chairwoman of The Mary’s Center’s 8th Annual Golf Classic. Ms. Baugh is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Corporate Counsel Women of Color, Leadership Greater Washington’s Class of 2018 and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ms. Baugh resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and son.
