Biography

Over the last 15 years, Stephen has worked as a policy adviser on international trade and the EU single market in the European Parliament, as an advisor to the EU Trade Commissioner and to the British Secretary of State for Business. He was also an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in London. He is the Senior Director at the policy and political risk consultancy Global Counsel, where he leads the trade policy practice. He is an Honorary Senior Research Associate in the School of Politics at University College London, where he lectures on contemporary aspects of international trade policy and trade politics, with a focus on investment and trade in services. He is also on the faculty of the Linklaters Trade Institute in London.
