Sheryn Omeri
Biography
Sheryn Omeri is a barrister practising from Chambers in London. She practises in employment law, public and administrative law, international criminal law and clinical negligence law. In 2015, Sheryn worked at in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on the cases of Prosecutor v Ongwen and Prosecutor v Al Faqi Al Mahdi. She is widely published on international criminal law. Sheryn is presently instructed on behalf of the Claimant Uber drivers in the Uber employment status litigation which will shortly be before the Supreme Court in London and in judicial review proceedings by the widow of Welsh Assembly Member, Carl Sargeant who committed suicide following his suspension from post in 2017. Previously, Sheryn worked in domestic criminal defence law at the Aboriginal Legal Service in Sydney and as associate to the Honourable Justice Margaret Beazley, former President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal and the next Governor of NSW
