Giesela Rühl
Biography
Giesela Rühl is a full Professor of Private International and Comparative Law at the University of Jena (Germany), a (Co-) Founder and (Co-) Director of the Center for European Studies at the University of Jena as well as a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the European Law Institute as well as the International Academy of Comparative Law. She is author and editor of numerous books, articles and book chapters dealing with various aspects of private international law including international civil procedure. During the past years she has held research and teaching positions in England, Italy, the United States, Australia and Japan.
