We hope you are all well and had a great start into 2026.

The IBA has been very present in our life recently while organising the final arrangements of our next specialist conference at Cape Town, 3–5 March. We hope to see you all there and trust you will have a wonderful time, in a wonderful location and above all with wonderful people.

A huge thank you to Maria Belén Espiñeira and Sarah Gahlen for preparing this newsletter in time for our Cape Town gathering. We well remember that numerous hours spent newsletter preparation. Well done, newsletter team!

We are particularly grateful to all members and colleagues who have taken the time to share their knowledge and experience through their articles. Your contributions are what make this newsletter a truly international and practical resource.

We look forward to catching up with Committee members in Cape Town and at the IBA Annual Conference in Copenhagen later in October, and to making sure our Committee keeps navigating at full speed ahead!
