Abuse of dominance

Committee(s)

Antitrust Section (Lead)
Asia Pacific Regional Forum

Description

Asian antitrust enforcers seem united in their resolve to bring high-profile abuse of dominance cases – often targeting the same sectors and imposing large fines. Many of these cases involve IP issues. At the same time, could it be that these agencies are divided in terms of their approach to dominance, what constitutes an abuse, and how to resolve monopoly investigations? The panel will navigate these regional market power complexities and place them in the context of the latest international developments in the area of unilateral conduct.
