Description
The new code has replaced existing bankruptcy laws in India and has become the overarching legislation to deal with corporate insolvency. The aim was to help creditors and banks recover loans faster. The move was also expected to help India move up from its current rank of 130 in the World Bank’s ease of doing business index. However, has this new legislation managed to achieve this purpose? The panel will deliberate on this issue.
