Description
Globalisation is an unstoppable trend that is materialised in new and innovative manners to connect and do business across borders. Free Trade International and Multilateral Agreements have become the key tool to gather and rule it through different and diverse jurisdictions. While several provisions of these international agreements aims to raise the standard within Member States in favour of improving their economic development, several voices, including leaders of highly industrialised countries, have opposed them. Around the world, several free trade agreements are now under renegotiation, such as the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), or pending implementation, such as the most ambitious free trade agreement ever signed: the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) signed on 2018 by eleven countries. This situation impacts industries, particularly the Life Sciences industry from business and legal standpoints. These key impacts will be discussed in a round-table taking advantage of the various jurisdictions represented at the Conference.
