Description

Compliance and regulations are no longer the ambit of a single jurisdiction. Regulatory requirements and sanctions imposed by the regulators of one country (particularly the US) on multinational corporations will entail consequences and impact on the business of their global operations including those located in Asia Pacific region. This session will consider various aspects such as: - Impact of US FCPA, UK Anti-Bribery Act, OFAC and key AML laws of major jurisdictions on the Asia Pacific region; - Consequences of CFIUS and export controls, compliance due diligence, etc. in a transactional setting; - Regulatory investigations and their ramifications faced by Asia Pacific corporations in overseas jurisdictions; and - Modern slavery legislation and the impact on the supply chain.
