The injustices of climate change and the role of lawyers

Climate change is having a disproportionate effect on the poorest people, who are not responsible for its causes. Some countries, such as the Maldives, may not exist in years to come, leaving its people to face important questions of territory and sovereignty.

Mary Robinson, United Nations Special Envoy on Climate Change, former US Vice-President Al Gore, and Mohamed Nasheed, former President of the Maldives, outline what climate justice means to them and their hopes for the UN COP21 climate talks in Paris in late 2015.
