‘Our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty and the test of our civilisation.’ Mahatma Gandhi

At the IBA Maritime and Transport Law Committee, diversity is an integral part of the Committee. This is apparent not only from our membership base, but also the composition of our Committee officers and every conference or webinar session where speakers from across the world are provided with an opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences from their respective jurisdictions.

Together, as a Committee, we will continue to uphold and promote diversity and inclusion among our membership as we believe that these values are fundamental to the success and growth of the Committee. An inclusive culture encourages and supports diverse voices from among our members.

We welcome all maritime and transport lawyers to join the Committee, which provides varied opportunities for the development of knowledge on maritime and land transport issues, as well as networking, regardless of an individual’s age, colour, disability, gender, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, preferences or identification.
