Back to LGBTI Committee publications

Dear members,

We are very excited to present the next edition of the IBA’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Law Committee e-bulletin. It was with great pleasure that we received and read each and every article submitted.

This edition features plenty of very interesting contributions, coming from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds. They cover aspects ranging from the experience of LGBTI asylum seekers in Australia to an interesting article about the legal developments in Mexico City for the LGBTI community; initiatives, proposals and suggestions on how to achieve equal rights in countries like Japan, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland; and an insightful report on the participation of IBA Officers in the Anti-Discrimination Event held by National Bar Council of Italy. These are among the topics being covered by this e-bulletin.

Our sincere gratitude to all the contributors – your time and effort is greatly appreciated. On behalf of the Committee, we will aim to continue to receive submissions on a rolling basis for future e-bulletins. Should you wish to know more about how to get published and/or if you have ideas for a new article, please send your queries and abstracts to me at jaramilloa@gtlaw.com.

We hope that you enjoy reading it as much as we did!
