A webinar presented by the IBA Regulation of Lawyers Committee and the IBA Young Lawyers Committee, supported by the IBA Academic and Professional Development Committee, IBA Senior Lawyers' Committee and IBA Bar Issues Commission.

This webinar will form a series focused on facilitating access to the legal profession for young lawyers engaged in multi-jurisdictional practice. The initiative will feature region-specific webinars, and each webinar will include contributions from representatives of national regulatory bodies and senior leaders from law firms that actively recruit young (multi-national) legal professionals. This webinar will focus on the Asia Pacific region. Topics will include:

• Crossing borders and navigating the high seas – dos and don’ts for young lawyers seeking better opportunities

• Disputes lawyer or transactions lawyer: who can fly better?

• Are we welcome? Entry of foreign lawyers and law firms – perspectives from across the world

• The rule of reciprocity – what we can do in your country, you can do in yours – practical problems with the large firms having several offices across the world
