Biography

Associate Professor of Private Law at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Naples "L'Orientale", Roberta Montinaro obtained her qualification as Full Professor of Private Law within the national scientific qualification (2017 session) and is scientific coordinator of the Jean Monnet DiCit Module (Digital Citizenship in the European Union). She is also a member of the teaching staff of the Jean Monnet Chair in "European Law on the Protection of Individuals in Relation to New Technologies" (PROTECH), established at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples, and is affiliated with Academies and Research Centres, as well as a member of the editorial board of scientific journals. She is the author of books and essays on, among others, trust law, civil liability, consumer law, Law & Tech. Some of her recent publications deal with product liability for damage caused by digital technology products and online marketplaces, viewed from a consumer law perspective.
