Darci Bailey

Biography

Darci is the co-founder of Interior Labs, LLC, a newly launched NYC based consumer product company designing and developing luxury beauty devices for discerning 40+ women. Darci has more than 20 years of senior executive experience leading and advising publicly and privately held companies, including founder-led start-ups, in the fashion, consumer product and media industries. Her areas of expertise include legal, business development, identifying and targeting growth opportunities, risk management, market positioning, and talent acquisition and HR management. Notably, Darci was hired by the founder and investors of streetwear brand SUPREME. She, along with one other external executive hire, successfully guided the company to a valuation (and sale) exceeding 2 billion USD. Darci served in a similar capacity at S’well, a NY based, fast-growth, consumer product company, as the founders prepared for and assessed potential investors. At both private companies, Darci brought leadership and discipline to the management and organizational functions, including recruiting and developing high performing global teams and managing cultural changes in fast-evolving, high-growth companies. A lawyer by training, Darci has extensive experience in the areas of regulatory compliance, intellectual property (IP), brand management, global litigation strategy, transactional and corporate legal and business affairs, including eight years at A&E Television Networks, a media company owned by Disney and Hearst; and in her almost decade of private practice at Clifford Chance, Nims Howes and Mintz Levin where she provided legal and business counsel to some of the world’s best known consumer product brands and media companies, including LVMH, Adidas, Remy Martin, HJ Heinz, Donna Karan, Luxottica, MTVN, AP, NYT, Reuters, HIT Entertainment, Hearst, and Disney. Throughout Darci’s career, she has been a recognized expert on global IP matters. Additionally, during her media career, Darci was awarded a Betsy Magness Leadership Fellowship, attended Harvard Business School’s Executive MBA program, and was nominated to attend the prestigious CTAM Cable Executive Management program also at Harvard Business School. During her early years, Darci was an alpine skier ranked eighth (8th) in the US among her age group and competed on the Nor-Am/FIS racing circuit as an Olympic and World Cup hopeful. After putting down her skis, she captained her college soccer team where she was a two-time MVP, honored Athlete Scholar, and Charles Hyde Pratt Award recipient for academic excellence. In her free time, she serves as a President of the Trustees of the Burke Mountain Club, in Burke, Vermont, was a former board member of Center for Survivor Agency & Justice and of Vermont Green Building Network. Darci is married, has a twelve-year old daughter, and splits time between NYC and her farm in Vermont.
