Biography

Torkjel is partner in the energy department of the law-firm Schjødt in Oslo, Norway. Torkjel has extensive experience from the oil, gas and offshore industry and the energy industry, both as lawyer and as an in-house lawyer. He is advising companies within renewable energy, oil companies, offshore service companies, and the government on regulatory and contractual matters in addition to M&A transactions. Grøndalen’s experience covers all aspects of the energy industry and the oil and gas industry, including contract and regulatory matters, M&A, infrastructure, product sales, construction projects, disputes and operational matters. Grøndalen has experience as an in-house lawyer both within Gassco AS and BP Norge AS. Grøndalen has also been heavily involved in the Norwegian state’s carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects, and worked for a time as the Procurement Manager for the full-scale CCS project at Mongstad (CCM).
