Corina Song

Biography

Corina was admitted as a Solicitor of England & Wales in 1992 and called to the Singapore Bar in 1993. She joined Allen & Gledhill LLP in 1997 and is currently a partner in their Litigation & Disputes Resolution Department. She is also a Senior Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law. Her practice covers shipping and international trade & commodities disputes, and she has acted in numerous arbitrations. More recently, she has acted as Counsel for various owners and financial institutions in most of the major shipping insolvency cases. Corina has been described as a highly esteemed litigator and a Leading Individual by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for Shipping. She has also been acknowledged as a notable practitioner for her expertise in Restructuring and Insolvency. In Chambers Asia-Pacific, she is listed as a notable practitioner and described as one that commands “the respect of her peers and impresses clients with her handling of shipping mandates. She acts for banks on a variety of contentious shipping matters, including mortgage enforcement, insurance and insolvency of shipping companies.” She has also been appointed to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) panel of arbitrators, the Maritime Panel of Associate Mediators of the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and as a Course Facilitator (Admiralty Practice) by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (SILE) for the Preparatory Course leading to the Singapore Bar examinations. Her current appointments include: Vice Chair of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA), LPD Council Member and Immediate Past Co-Chair of the IBA Maritime & Transport Law Committee, Secretary of the Maritime Law Association of Singapore (MLAS).
