Sudhanshu Swaroop
Biography
Sudhanshu is a barrister practising public international, arbitration (including investment arbitration), commercial and human rights law from Twenty Essex in London. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2016. He has acted in some of the leading international cases of recent times. His climate change work includes acting for the United Kingdom in Duarte Agostinho v Portugal and Others (the first climate case in the European Court of Human Rights) and acting in Torres Strait Islanders v Australia in the United Nations Human Rights Committee. He has also worked on landmark environmental tort claims, including Chandler v Cape plc (about the duty of care owed by a parent company).
